Can I Get Some Soda On This Ice?

So I walk into McDonald's yesterday to eat. I ordered a number 4 , everything is going good so far until i got my 24oz sweet tea . My cup was like 5 pounds. Out of the 24oz , 4oz was liquid , and the other 20oz was ice. " I guess it was sweet iced ice ha . I went back for a refill  and I ask the girl no ice, and her supervisor was there so I asked him " can I get some drink on my ice please", he just looked at me and he looked at the girl as she was filling my cup up . He tried  telling her to stop and the girl said no thats mean, what a fudging  jerk!! . Now they have a policy that says if you ask for no ice you got to pay the full price of it B.S  right?

So we pay $1 for a cup of ice , and if we pay reg.price $3 , we still get a cup of ice. So in my point of view i think half  a cup of ice is fair for both us the customers and the company. Tank you for reading  see you next time and remember this is "A Guy's Point Of View"

  1. 1st of all, i have to say, "I love the whole idea of your blog!" and I'm a gal. =)It's great to get the guys point of view. So, welcome to the fantastic world of blogging. =0)
I also love this post. This isn't just a problem at McDonald's either (although they seem to be leading the way), it's everywhere and it totally doesn't make any sense. And its very frustrating. So, we just make our sweet tea at home and put it in tumblers while on the road. ;) Have a good one. I am looking forward to following you. Oh, by the way, i am a new follower here from Thirsty Thursday Blog Hop.

  3. Last I checked McDonalds still gave free refills so really, what would it have hurt to take it easy on the ice? How strange!

BTW - I am a new follower from the blog hop. :)

  9. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and totally into the ice craving thing right now, I'd have been complaining about the opposite, "I said hold the Tea! Ice only!" :)
I actually recently started buying just espresso shots and making my own iced lattes at home earlier this year... I was tired of paying for the ice :)

New follower, found you on the blog hop, linked from For The Love of 4's blog.

  11. New follower here. That was funny:) Luckilly here (For now anyway), you can make your own sweet tea, and you can refill, or at least there are no signs saying it, or that you got to fill it up with ice. Honestly, those cheap bastar%ds!

Think about how much it actually costs them to make this stuff, vs. what they charge anyhow? I think they could give the little guy a break!

Looking forward to hearing more from ya! I know a lot about a guys point of view, having had a lot of male friends in my life time, so I think I'll enjoy your blog, immensely!
